The Worcester Public Schools wants to reach students, staff, and the community using modern social media tools. Through the use of Twitter and Facebook, the Worcester Public Schools will be able to reach out in a timely and efficient manner.*
 
Follow our Facebook feed by going to facebook.com/worcesterschools and clicking Subscribe from the top right corner (you will need a Facebook account and need to log in to your account to subscribe).

Follow our Twitter feed by going to WorcesterPublic and clicking Follow from the top right corner (you will need a Twitter account and need to log in to your account to follow the district).

You can also follow our Twitter feed by text message using Twitter’s Fast Follow feature**:
  • You can receive text messages of our Twitter feed by sending the text message follow worcesterpublic to 40404 (Twitter’s Fast Follow service).
  • You can stop receiving text messages anytime by sending the text message unfollow worcesterpublic to 40404 anytime.
For more advanced users, you can follow an RSS feed of district announcements. Simply copy and paste http://worcesterschools.org/modules/cms/announceRss.phtml in your favorite RSS reader, such as Google Reader.


* The district will tweet any news items from the district's homepage as well as selected district emergency notifications. Twitter post will automatically be posted to the district Facebook page. Not all news items will be posted to the Twitter feed; interested parties should visit the district's homepage for full news stream. The district is using Twitter and Facebook simply for informational posting purposes. The district will not be replying to comments on Twitter or Facebook. If you need to communicate with the district, please do so through customary means such as contacting the building principal or Superintendent's office. The district reserves the right to make modifications to this policy and suspend this account if necessary.
